The Maricopa Community Colleges

The Maricopa Community Colleges has an active social media marketing platform, in which they engage with students and prospective students on a daily basis. In an online world of “white noise,” one proven way to cut-through the clutter is by engaging your audience through video and motion graphics. Videos have been proven to demand more consumer attention than any other medium. In fact, people are about 10 times more likely to engage, embed, share, and comment on video content than other online media.

The concept for these social media video postings were simple; make it eye catching — but keep it on brand. So for each one, I created and presented a number of concepts for the client to review and select one direction to go forward with. From there, we revised content if needed, and worked on tweaking text animations and timing as well. I found that selecting a few different animation styles, but keeping them all somewhat similar made the overall piece easier to read and more cohesive overall. With just a few hours of work from beginning to end for each, I was able to hand off each completed video to them on-time and under-budget.
