The Arizona Community Colleges

Social media is a key marketing component for some organizations like Arizona Community Colleges, which has an active social stream that they engage with students and prospective students on a daily basis. In an online world of “white noise,” one proven way to cut-through the clutter is by engaging your audience through video and motion graphics. Videos have been proven to demand more consumer attention than any other medium. In fact, people are about 10 times more likely to engage, embed, share, and comment on video content than other online media.

For this particular video, the creative process was similar to other social media videos I had done for them. We started with a short creative brief that established the key messages, was provided the copy to work with, and had a day’s turnaround to come up with concepts and then to develop one into a finalized video. I searched for photographs that hit key demographics and were similar in tone and feel to their brand and the video’s overall message, then began work on animating the words in Adobe After Effects. I presented concepts that were then narrowed down to one, which we further refined. In the end, I was able to put together a short animated video for them in just a few hours which met their budget and exceeded their expectations, making it very easy and affordable for us to work on similar projects again in the future.
